Two-year partnership for spring and fall programming debuts at April Dallas Design Days —

Dallas Market Center, the largest open-daily design marketplace in the country, and Business of Home, a leading business publication for news and analysis of the home decor industry, have announced a new two-year partnership introducing the Business of Home x Dallas Market Center Business Accelerator Series. This designer-focused educational platform delivering business-building programming will take place each spring during Dallas Design Days and each fall during Dallas Design Week.

The series debuts Tuesday, April 14 at Dallas Design Days with its first installment, Landing the Right Work, a half-day program centered on the most critical stage of a successful project: winning the right clients. Through panels moderated by Kaitlin Petersen, Editor-in-Chief of Business of Home, and workshops led by industry experts, the program explores how designers can refine positioning, communicate value, and attract aligned clients.

“We are proud to partner with Business of Home to bring meaningful, business-focused education to our design community,” said Cindy Morris, President and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “This two-year collaboration reflects our commitment to providing designers with the tools and insights they need to grow stronger businesses.”

A full schedule will be announced soon, with educational sessions including:
  • The First Impression, examining how a designer’s digital presence shapes client perception before the first conversation.
  • Positioning with Purpose, a panel discussion on defining what sets a firm apart and creating clarity across every client touchpoint.
  • The Power of Alignment, focused on identifying and attracting the right clients with intention.
  • Make the First Contact Count, where designers share strategies for structuring intake and early conversations to set expectations and determine project fit.

The experience concludes with a Business of Home tour, highlighting design resources across campus.

Registration for this first-of-its-kind programming is required and space is limited; ticket sales will open in early March. Early registration is encouraged due to significant interest expected from both local and national designers. Registration details will be available soon. The Business of Home x Dallas Market Center Business Accelerator Series will continue later in 2026 at Dallas Design Week on September 15, with additional programming to be announced.
